These fabrics are fairly traded from several talented batik artists in Dar es Salaam. They are hand printed and hand dyed, so shading naturally varies within each fabric. Any residual wax can be easily removed with a gentle hot water machine wash. All batiks are 100% cotton, measure 45" wide and cost $14 per metre or $3.50 per fat quarter. These batiks are generally produced in pieces measuring 3 to 3.5 metres, from which I have already cut several fat quarters, and I rarely receive two pieces that are the same. Please email me for availability of quantities larger than one metre.
